ADMISSIONS
Admissions
Any applicant who has completed 18 years of age but not exceeding 35 years can apply for admission. The admission committee has the discretion in giving a concession concerning the age. The applicant must have a born again Christian experience with a definite call for full time ministry. Moreover, the candidate normally should have been a member and of good standing with a Church at least for two years. Candidates for B.A. in Theology, B.D., M.Th. and D.Th. courses must have working knowledge in English.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
M. Th., D. Th. application should be submitted in the office by the month of January. For other courses applications should be submitted by the month of March.
RESIDENTIAL COURSES - APPLICATION FORMS
DTh, MTh and BD are residential programs under the Senate of Serampore College (University). Application form can be either obtained from the office of the Director of Admissions or downloaded by using the link below.
Application fee Rs 500/- for Dth and MTh. Rs 200/- for other courses.

EXTERNAL COURSES
Bachelor of Christian Studies (BCS)
- Bachelor of Christian Studies (BCS) is a 4 year external programme of Senate of Serampore College(University) for Degree graduates from a recognized university.
- Application form can be obtained from the office of the Director of BCS Studies or downloaded by using the link – BCS Application Form
- All application requirements are to be fulfilled by the month of August of every academic year.
Diploma in Christian Studies (Dip. C.S.)
- Qualification: +2 passed/SSLC with 3 years of work or studies.
- Duration: 2 years(Contact Classes will be arranged by FTS)
- Qualified for BCS(2years)/BTh(2 years)/BD(4 years)
- Medium – English & Malayalam

Diploma in Christian Education (Dip. C.E.)
- Qualification: +2 passed/SSLC with 3 years of work or studies.
- Duration: 1 year (Contact Classes will be arranged by FTS)

- Medium – English & Malayalam

B.A in Theology
Application form and the prospectus can be obtained from the office of the Extension Education Department by paying Rs. 150/-
International students will be charged the equivalent of Rs. 500.00/- for the application and prospectus.

Qualification Requirement

Documents Required for Admission
- Copies of academic certificates and transcripts.
- Migration certificate from the university last attended/Transfer Certificate(TC).
- Birth Certificate or other acceptable evidence of date of birth.
- Pastor’s letter from the church the candidate belongs to.
- Medical Fitness certificate from an authorized doctor.
- Photos.
- Aadhar Card.
Entrance Examination
The applicants for D.Th program should have passed Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by Senate of Serampore College (University) at the time of admission. The work assigned to the applicant from the Department of Specialization be submitted according to the instruction.
The applicants who are qualified for admission to the M.Th program must pass an entrance examination which will be conducted by the seminary. There will be questions on methodological issues involved in the specialized branch. Biblical Department will include questions on translation, grammar, various critical approaches, exegesis, and Biblical (OT/NT) themes.
The applicants for admission to the B.D. and B.A. in Theology courses are required to pass an entrance examination which would check his/her aptitudes, knowledge of scripture and General knowledge.
For the G.Th./C.Th. course the entrance examination will be for knowledge of scripture, General Knowledge, and aptitude in the regional language (Malayalam).
The candidates should pay the entrance examination fee Rs. 300 in the office before they appear for the examination.
Interview
Apart from the entrance examination, the applicant will have to appear before the Admission committee for the personal interview. Those who are selected will be intimated from the office of the Director of Admissions regarding his/her status of admission.
Confirmation of Admission
Those who have satisfactorily completed the orientation period will be admitted to the B.D. course. Each year’s performance (Academic, Spiritual, Interpersonal relationship and Practical Ministry) will be evaluated for promotion and admission to the next academic year. Those who fail in more than three subjects in an academic year will not be promoted but he/she must continue in the same class until the clearance of all subjects.
