EXTENSION EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
It was in 1992, that Faith Theological Seminary started its Extension Education Department with the vision of providing sound doctrinal programs to those are unable to come and study for our in-campus programs. The former President Lt. Rev. Dr. T. G. Koshy desired that no one should be inept to fulfill the will of God in their life due to the lack of theological studies. Rev V. M. Varghese was our Extension Education Coordinator from start and served the office for 29 years faithfully. We acknowledge the services of our former Directors Dr. Mathew C. Varghese, Rev. James T. G. Rev. Thomas Mathew and Dr. Sunny P. towards the Extension Department. Currently, Dr. K. M. Mathew is the Director of Extension Department and Mrs. Renji Sam, Extension Coordinator.
We have courses in B. A. in Theology (English), G. Th (Malayalam) and Dip. Th (Malayalam). B. A. In Theology and G. Th are 3 years courses, while Dip. Th is a 2-year course. B. A. in Theology has 27 subjects, G. Th has 25 subjects and Dip. Th has 16 subjects. FTS Extension Education Department provides contact classes every 6 months followed with examination. The Department provide courses under excellent faculty who has outdid in each field of study and has experience. The students are provided with course material (hardcopy & softcopy) from the Extension Department office once the student is registered. Currently our centers are located in. Manakala, Kalayapuram, Kallusherri, Vytilla and Palarivattam in Ernakulam, at the same time students from abroad are also continuing their studies with us. Looking at the current scenario that is post Covid, the department has been providing classes online and is successful in equipping the students. The Extension Education Department feels it honored to serve in the ministry of education for over 30 years and graduates ministering the Word of God powerfully around the world.

B.A. IN THEOLOGY (EXTENSION)
This is college offered distance course designed for candidates in order to get a deep biblical knowledge and ministerial perception with a sound theological basis.
- To enable students to articulate the essential doctrines of Christian faith.
- To value personal spiritual formation and habits to enhance students’ relationship with the triune God, others, themselves, and nature.
- To develop a theologically informed approach to work and ministry.

A- 70% B- 55% C- 40%
For the B.A. in Theology course 40% of the total grade will be from the assignments and 60% from the final examination.
Admission Requirements
B.A in Theology
- Any applicant who has 20 years and above can apply for admission. The applicants must have passed S.S.L.C. and should have completed any course of two years duration and must have two years of ministerial involvement. A person who is 25 years old with two years of ministerial involvement and has passed S.S.L.C. can also apply for this course.
- Proficiency in English language is a must for doing this course.
- The applicant must be a born-again Christian with an earnest desire to study the Word of God and be a partner in Christian Ministry.

Application form and the prospectus can be obtained from the office of the Extension Education Department by paying Rs. 100/-

- With the application form bring Passport size photograph, Copy of certificate of previous education, Adhar Card Copy, Pastor’s Recommendation letter on church letter pad, Personal Testimony
- For International Students, provide passport copy
N.B. Candidates must complete the assignments prescribed in the course material and submit to the office before attending the contact classes.
GRADUATE IN THEOLOGY (EXTENSION)
Malayalam Extension Course
This is college offered course designed for both men and women in order to get a deep biblical knowledge and equip themselves in pastoral ministry. This course is offered in vernacular language (Malayalam)
- Looking for a basic doctrinal teaching for students within the framework of contemporary ministerial models.
- Acquire a sufficient knowledge of biblical interpretation and equipping one to effective evangelism.
- Giving Importance for mission and vision of contemporary church.
Admission Requirements for the Graduate in Theology Degree
- Any applicant who has completed 18 years of age and above.
- Applicant must have a born-again Christian experience with a definite call for ministry. Moreover, the candidate normally should have been a member and of good standing with a Church at least for two years.
- Applicants for the Graduate in theology (G.Th.) course should have passed S.S.L.C. or its equivalent.
